Priyamani’s start in cinema was anything but spectacular but luck has taken a turn in her favour as the actress is belting out hits and reveling in all the praise coming her way.
Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer was born on 4th June 1984 in Palakkad, Kerala. She is a Tamil Iyer and her parents are Vasudev and Latha. Priyamani is a student of Psychology and spent most of her growing up years in Bangalore.
Priyamani did not meet with success as all her initial releases like Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, Evare Atagaadu and Satyam failed.
Things brightened up with the release of Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam (2005). While she was appreciated as an actress, the movie evoked lukewarm response. In 2006, she delivered a hit Pellaina Kothalo along with her co-star Jagapathi Babu. The movie told the story of a newly wed couple.
