harini BiographyKrishna Kumar Menon alias KK, came from Kerala to Mumbai to become a singer in the Hindi film industry.He released an album called Pal,the title song managing to strike a chord with listeners. The song "Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil", from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, brought him into limelight.He is confused with a famous actor in Bollywood by the same name. He is now a part of most of the mainstream bollywood soundtracks.He has lent his voice to most of the famous current actors.Starting off from Hindi, he sang his way to the southern part of the country ;the songs "Uyirin Uyirae" from the Tamil movie "Kakha Kakha" and "Andankaka..." from the movie "Anniyan" being perhaps the most famous of them all.Back in Bollywood,he notched up winners with songs such as "Tu Aashiqui Hai" from "Jhankaar Beats" (for which he received a National Award),"Le Chale" from "Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao" and the smash hit "Dus Bahaane" (with Shaan) from the film "Dus".A recluse by nature,he finally came out of the shadows to be one of the judges in the popular reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005.

This Delhi-based singer came to Mumbai a few years ago in search for his career and finally, he got a call to sing a one-minute jingle for singer Leslie Lewis for UTV which kick started his career. He started singing and the age of two and was a part of his college rock band. He has sung over 3500 jingles including Monte Carlo, TVS Scooty, Amul, Britannia and Pepsi's Yeh Dil Maange More in a span of four years. His dream to sing for a Bollywood movie materialized when Vishal Bharadwaj asked him to sing "Chod Aaye Hum" in Sampooran Singh Gulzar's Maachis (1996). But what catapulted him into the big league was the wildly popular "Tadap Tadap" in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). He still speaks in chaste Malayalam, remembers the sights and sounds of downtown Kerala and believes the best way to draw inspiration for emotions is to look at the poverty and people around us.Their are 2 album currently in the market.
